About Worley’s Home Services
Worley’s Home Services is a family-owned, one-stop home service company serving the Virginia Peninsula and greater Hampton Roads since 2016. Edgar “Chuck” Worley III founded it with his son Chase, and they still run it together — HVAC, plumbing, electrical, insulation, and crawl space work all under one roof, so Peninsula homeowners have one number to call for nearly anything a house can throw at them. That whole-home approach, and a near-total reliance on word-of-mouth, grew Worley’s into an INC 5000 company and, in 2026, York County’s Small Business of the Year.

Our story: a father, a son, and one number to call
Ask Chase Worley what he likes best about the job and the answer is short: working with his dad. That’s the heart of Worley’s. Chuck Worley has been a building-science geek since well before it was fashionable — a graduate of the Newport News Shipyard Apprentice School’s HVAC program with decades in the trade — and in 2016 he and Chase started the company with a handful of employees and one stubborn idea: treat a house as a whole system, not a stack of unrelated repairs.
Most contractors hand you off. A heating company won’t touch your panel; a plumber shrugs at your crawl space. Chuck’s view was that the AC, the ductwork, the insulation, the plumbing, and the electrical are all one connected system — fix them that way and the home gets more comfortable and more efficient at the same time. There’s a line around the shop for it: “we’ll do everything but put the roof on for you.” It’s why Worley’s added trade after trade, and why one call now covers a summer AC breakdown, a water heater on the way out, an EV charger install, and a damp crawl space.
Chuck also spends his off-air time on-air — he hosts the 757 House Whisperer show on WNIS 790AM, walking Hampton Roads homeowners through the science of their own houses every week. It’s the same thing Worley’s does on a service call, just with a bigger audience.
